PSALM 130

Hebrew Text
A Song of Ascents. From the depths I cry to You, Adonai. Adonai, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to the sound of my pleas. If you kept record of iniquities, Adonai, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you might be revered. I wait for Adonai, my soul waits, and in Your word, I do hope. My soul is toward Adonai, through the watches till morning, through the watches till morning. Hope in Adonai, O Israel, because with Adonai, there is love and with God abundant redemption. And You shall redeem Israel from all its iniquities.

PSALM 133

Hebrew Text
A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like precious oil upon the head, running down upon the beard, the beard of Aaron, which flows over the collar of his robes; Like the dew of Hermon that descends upon the mountains of Zion; For there Adonai has commanded the blessing, life for evermore!

PSALM 137

Hebrew Text
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat and also wept, when we remembered Zion. Upon the willows in its midst we hung our lyres. For there our captors asked of us words of song, and our tormentors songs of joy: "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." O How could we sing Adonai's song upon alien soil? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget[its skill]. Let my tongue stick to my palate, if I do not remember you; if I do not set Jerusalem above my foremost joy. Remember, Adonai, the children of Edom, the day of Jerusalem, those who said destroy, destroy, to its very foundation. Daughter of Babylon, the devastated, happy shall be the one who repays you in accord with what you have done to us. Happy will be the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rock.

PSALM 146

Hebrew Text

Hallelujah! Praise Adonai, O my soul. I will praise Adonai while I live; I will sing to my God while I have being. Trust not in princes, in a human being, in whom there is no help. His breath departs, he returns to his earth; in that day his thoughts perish. Happy is one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is Adonai, your God. Who made heaven and earth, the sea,  and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever. Who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Adonai sets prisoners free; Adonai opens the eyes of the blind; Adonai raises up those bowed down; Adonai loves the righteous; Adonai protects strangers, Adonai upholds the orphan and widow, but the way of the wicked You contort. Adonai shall reign forever, Your God, O Zion, from generation to generation, Hallellujah!
